Rationale

This initiative provides a strong incentive for users to hold and stake ZTX, driving higher participation in both governance voting and the broader ZTX ecosystem.

The goal of ZIP-007 is the same as previous Staking ZIPs

  1. Incentivize more holding and staking — a large yield encourages long-term participation in the ZTX ecosystem.

  2. Return value to the community/holders — all tokens used in this boost come from the Community Fund, ensuring the rewards stay within the community.

  3. Drive adoption of the new Steer pool — by offering a significant yield boost, we make the new pool more compelling for both existing and new participants.

Proposal

Allocate a total budget of 100,000,000 $ZTX Tokens from the ZTX Community Fund to add as additional rewards for $ZTX stakers in the upcoming 3-month ZTX Staking Pool on Steer.

Implementation

Governance initiates the process for the ZIP-007 feedback and vote.

If it gets officially approved via Snapshot:

  1. 100,000,000 $ZTX tokens from the Community Fund are allocated to the upcoming 3-month-long Steer pool.

  2. Daily rewards reflect the APR during the period.

  3. After 3 months, the yield will be changed unless a new proposal extends or modifies the program.
